4Know your screen

This chapter names every button on the main screen. Each number in the pictures matches a row in the table below it.

4.1The main map screen

This is what you see on a phone when the Menu is shut. The map fills the screen. A search bar sits at the top. Four round buttons sit on the right, and two at the bottom left.

4.4On a computer or tablet

On a wide screen, the Menu sits down the left side instead of covering the map. There's no search bar on the map. The buttons on the right have words, like Nav, Dash, Radar, Locate, Reset and Full.

  • The double arrow at the top of the Menu folds it away. A small button at the top left brings it back.
  • The bottom right has four arrows to move the map, and a middle button. The middle button faces the map north and flat.
  • The two buttons at the bottom left have words: Topo or Sat for the map you're on, and 2D or 3D. Sat and 3D light up while they're on.
  • There's no Start button. Plan the route on the computer, then use Start on your phone.
  • The height readout only shows on a phone.
NoteA computer doesn't know how high you are, so it has no height readout.
